Since 2002, the Defenders
have provided our community with news and political perspective in the following ways:
- The Richmond Defender,
a community newspaper with information relevant to the poor, working class, and progressive - Monthly and FREE at all city
libraries, many community centers, and in retail locations all over the city.
- Public Forums on
issues of community concern and linked to historcal, national and/or international points of origin or impact.
- DefendersLIVE,
our weekly radio program on WRIR 97.3 FM, every Monday at 12:30 pm
- Educational and promotional
materials for actions and initiatives like the Sacred Ground Project, VAWN - VA Anti-War Network, Lead Poisoning
Campaign for Testing & Abatement Awareness, Prison & Jail Reform, Court Watch Projects, Women's Issues, Worker Justice
and much more
